# How can XEL tokens be bought or sold?

For now, the most convenient way to acquire XEL Tokens is via [bittrex.com](http://bittrex.com/) exchange. Elastic Token trades there under ticker XEL and its being exchanged for Bitcoin (BTC).

You first need to have Bitcoins in your [bittrex.com](http://bittrex.com/) exchange Wallet to be able to buy XEL.

Please note that when you send your XEL tokens to Exchange you will need to attach a message to your transaction as described at deposit page in Bittrex.
